The fight to save Karate anime from Netflix continues.
Anime fans in Japan are organizing a petition to get the rights to the beloved karate series.
According to an Anime News Network article, the petition is in the process of being submitted to Netflix.
The petitioners are asking Netflix to allow them to stream the series in Japan.
Netflix is currently streaming the series with English subtitles in Japan, but the series is not available in the United States.
The petition to give the rights back to fans has garnered nearly 7,000 signatures.
“If we get Netflix to take this, it would mean the world to us,” the petition reads.
I love karate.
I am so excited to finally get my hands on it and watch it in a way that I can enjoy it without fear of violence.
I have watched the show on multiple occasions and it’s always been the best way for me to relax.
It’s also fun to see the people who are making this series come together and work together to create something wonderful for us all.
Netflix is still not releasing the series.
The company said in a statement to Anime News that they would release the series once it is approved by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
